What is FriendlyBox?

FriendlyBox is a subscription based box designed to make sustainable living easy and exciting. Subscribers choose their box type/length of subscription, then we send monthly boxes full of plastic free sustainable goodies. We have 2 boxes you can sign up for. The Eco Living Box contains 4-5 items designed to help you live a life with less plastic. We also have an Eco Snack Box which contains 4-5 vegan snacks using eco-friendly packaging.

What’s included in my box?

Each month’s items (except for the first welcome box) are a surprise. We try our hardest to ensure you love the products in each months’ box.

The Eco Living Box contains 5 items monthly which range from toiletries, plastic free cosmetics and kitchen products. The mostly reusable items are designed to help you live a less wasteful life without plastic.

The Eco Snack box contains 6 vegan snacks monthly, all having either recyclable, biodegradable or compostable packaging. This way you can discover delicious vegan treats whilst still helping our planet!

What do you use for your box packaging?

Being a company championing zero-waste, it was only fitting that our box packaging was as environmentally friendly as possible. Our boxes are made using 70% recycled cardboard and are 100% recyclable. The inner shredded paper is made using off cuts of disposable cups that are discarded during the production process. The leaflet inside your box and the sticker on the outside are also made using recycled paper.

How much does a subscription cost?

When will I be billed for my subscription?

This depends on the type of plan you have purchased.

For month to month subscription types, payment for your first box will be taken straight away when you sign up. Your welcome box will be shipped out to you within 3 days of this date. After this, payments are taken on the 1st of every month. That month’s box will be shipped out to you on or around the 5th of each month.

You can cancel a monthly subscription at any time. Please let us know before the 1st of the month otherwise the payment for that month will have already been processed. If this is the case, we will cancel the subscription from the following month and you will receive no further boxes.

For 3 month/6 month prepaid subscriptions, the full amount for 3/6 months will be taken straight away when you first sign up. Your welcome box will be shipped to you within 3 days of your order date. Future boxes will be sent on or around the 5th of every month.

Our date for renewals is the 1st of the renewal month (e.g. a 6 month subscription purchased on 10th January will auto renew on 1st July). You can turn the auto-renewal feature off by signing into your account or emailing hello@friendlybox.co.uk.

When can I expect to receive my box?

Our boxes are sent using Royal Mail standard, so we expect them to be with you within 2-5 days after we post them to you.

Your first box will be shipped out to you within 3 days of your original order date. Future boxes will be shipped on or around the 5th of each month.

I need to update my payment information for my subscription.

This can most certainly be done! You can head over to your account here and head over to the ‘payment methods’ section and enter your new payment details.

I need to update my billing/shipping address

This can be done in the My Account section under the ‘addresses’ tab. Here you can update your shipping or billing address. Please make sure this is done before the 1st of a month. If you think your box may have already been sent to you, please drop us an email on hello@friendlybox.co.uk and we will try to help.

Where do you deliver to?

Currently we are only delivering within the UK, however we will look to extend this to Europe in the near future.

What happens if I miss my parcel delivery?

We use Royal Mail for our deliveries. If you’re not in, Royal mail will take your box back to the local depot, where it will wait for you to collect it or choose a redelivery date!

How do I cancel my subscription?

We will be sad to see you leave!

You can cancel your subscription at any time by heading over to your account and the ‘subscriptions’ tab. Here you will see a button to cancel. If you cancel after the 1st of the month you will still be charged for that month and a box sent out, but you will not be charged for future months.

For prepaid subscriptions, you can cancel at any time before the renewal date.

Can I have a refund for my subscription box?

The contents of your box are intended to be a surprise, hence we are only able to offer refunds on boxes with damaged items. If this is the case send us an email at hello@friendlybox.co.uk with photos of the damaged goods and we will be happy to help!
